Your college and the validity of your medical certificate would determine whether you will be detained or not.

That having a medical certificate may vindicate your days for being absent from class, remember that sometimes colleges require the minimum attendance. And if it's at its lowest against your medical certificate, expect academic consequences.

Do this

Speak to Your Class Teacher or Head of Department:

Clearly explain your position and present before them your medical certificate as evidence.

Demand condonation of your attendance and throw light upon the circumstances that led to your absence.

Submission of Relevant Documents

Present your medical certificate to the concerned authority.

Make sure your medical certificate is valid and has an evident cause for your absence.

Regular Follow-Up

Keep tabs on the status of your request and follow up with the authorities concerned.

Remember that each college maintains particular attendance policies. You can best seek information about your case from the academic advisor at your college or the concerned department.

Some Additional Suggestion

Keep your teachers informed about your condition and all difficulties you face.

Make it a point to study and submit assignments without any delay.

Seek support: Do not hesitate to seek help if you need it; you can talk to your friends, family, or counselors if needed.

Hello,

YCCE typically mandates a minimum of 75% attendance for students to be eligible to appear for exams.

  • Valid Medical Reasons: If you have a medical certificate verifying your absence for one month, this can be used as legitimate documentation to justify your low attendance.
  • College Policies: Colleges often have provisions for accepting medical reasons when attendance falls short. Your case could be considered if the documentation is thorough and submitted within the deadline.
  • Departmental Review: Your application will likely go through a review process by your department or the academic committee to validate your claim.
  • Outcome: While there’s a possibility of leniency based on your medical reason, it is not guaranteed. If the administration finds the medical justification satisfactory, they may waive strict attendance rules to avoid detention.
  • Action Step: Submit all medical proofs promptly and consult your academic counselor for personalized advice.

Hope it helps !

Hello Abhiram,

In most colleges, including YCCE, students are generally required to maintain a minimum attendance to be eligible for exams. However, if you have a valid reason for your low attendance, such as a medical condition supported by proper documentation (like a medical certificate covering your absence), there may be a provision for attendance leniency.

YCCE may allow you to appeal to the administration or relevant academic committee to request an exemption or consideration due to your medical circumstances. Colleges often consider medical emergencies on a case-by-case basis, especially if the supporting documents clearly indicate the necessity for your absence. Be sure to meet with your academic advisor or the attendance office to explain your situation and present the necessary documentation.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

YCCE college has a minimum attendance requirement usually around 75% and a process for requesting condonation of absences due to medical reasons.Write a letter to the college authorities explaining your medical situation and requesting consideration for your attendance shortage.

If they accept your request then ot is possible that they wont give detention if you have proof of it.but still college will impose consequences depending on the specific college policy and severity of your attendance shortage.
