Hello Aspirant,
Scoring low marks in 12th is not going to have a long term affect on your career. However I cannot say it will never be considered as a factor in job selection because you are a fresher. And as a fresher you do not have any other record of your performance to show you are eligible for a job responsibility other than 10th,12th and graduation marks. So yes some popular IT/Software companies do have a minimum 12th mark criteria of a score above 60 percent but not all, so find out usual recruiters who visit your campus and among them target those which does not give importance to 12th marks and prepare for their interviews . Prepare yourself for the placements that is going to come in your final year. Perform well in all your semesters and maintain a GPA of 8.0 till the end. This will sure coverup your low score in 12th. Also from what you have mentioned, it does not seem like you are a weak or poor performer, you do have good scores in general apart from your 12th. So do not worry you will be eligible for interviews ,there might be few exceptions if they have a very strict rule about 12th score, but otherwise you are fine ,there are always plenty of options. Do not be very picky and be dejected if at all any company rejects on the basis of your 12th marks , there would always be a better opportunity waiting for you. Low score in 12th is not a crime. Remember 12th marks matter only till you somehow get into a job, as time goes by after that it's importance will fade away.
Now if you are very specific about a specific company or a list of companies that you like ,then apply and take up their internships and perform in the most impressive way possible good enough to make them notice you skills and talents , definitely they will offer you a job at the end of the internship. Remember to first upskill yourself according to the company's expectation and standard in terms of both communication and technical skills. Prepare an impressive resume, make sure the recruiters see only the 12th marks as a minus point.
All the best for you future
