I have lost my 1st sem marksheet & will be appearing for GATE 2019. Will it be a problem at any stage of the application/admission process?

Hello Anirban,

Well, marksheet of the 6th semester will be required for gate exam or final year marksheet matters the most. But you should try to contact your college administration regarding same. They will help you.

All the best.

Hi. Thanks for your answer but going through my college administration would be a big hassle, one that I am hoping to avoid if not needed. Is there any case of provisional admission in the IITs or the other colleges under GATE that would require me to have all my semester results for admission? Because I have heard that JAM admission follows that procedure because the results aren't out by the time counselling happens. So the students have to show all the previous report cards that they have. I was wondering if it is the same for GATE.
