Hi,
You need to have 50% aggregate for general category and 45% for reserved category in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. You do not need to get 50 marks in all of the above subjects, you just need to have the total of 50% in 4 subjects combine. So, if you already have 50% combine in these four subjects, you need not to appear , but if your aggregate is less than 50% or as per reserved category, you can appear for the improvement examination in the said subjects and can appear for NEET. By giving improvement examination also, you are eligible for NEET .
To be eligible for NEET, you should have completed your 12th, passed in all subjects and secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. It is 50% for General Category, 45% for PWD and 40% for OBC,SC,ST. Now if you belong to OBC Category, the Category you belong to should be also listed in the Central OBC list. Or else you will be considered as General Category and so you have to secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. This 50% is inclusive of the Theory and Practical marks scored in Physics, Chemistry and Biology collectively. You needn't score 50% in Physics, 50% in Chemistry and 50% in Biology separately. You need an aggregate of 50% or 40% depending on your Category as an aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. And along with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, you should also have studied English as one of the core subjects in your 12th. If you fulfil this criteria along with age criteria which is 17 years atleast by December 31st of the year of admission, you are eligible for NEET.
Hii,
The class 12 percentage required for NEET 2021 exam is separate for each category and can be listed as under. NEET eligibility marks in class 12 to be considered are aggregate marks only for PCB subjects
-
UR - 50%,
-
OBC/SC/ST - 40%,
-
PWD - 45%
So one need to score 50% marks in total of theory and practical in PCB not individually in each subject
And need to attain 17 years of age.
