Before entering the prime rat race of education most vital thing to choose is in what race you should enter.  This decision is most important as there may be no going back.

According to my opinion, As you have said you are good at Mathematics then you should opt for BSc . If mathematics is really your passion then you can start preparing to crack JAM and enter IIT to prsue higher degrees.

Or you can go for engineering entrance exams if you have interest in physics and chemistry also.

Entire things depends upon you and your passion. You should do what you enjoy studying.

Since you are a science student and are good at mathematics, it will be of great advantage to you. You can choose engineering as your stream in the college for a good career path. But, if you are good at teaching and want to be a professor, you can also opt for BSc in Mathematics and then do masters and get a job as a professor for whichever class you want to teach. Engineering is in demand and also has a very good future. There are various branches so you can opt for whichever branch you are interested in. Note that, you need to answer entrance exams in order to get in Engineering colleges. National level colleges like NIt or IIT requires JEE mains paper 1 whereas state level colleges require CET exams.
