.First point is Patna college isn't offering any stream related to B.com. you need to choose other colleges for admission. Now second point is B.Com is a stream that needs a commerce background student not maths, but still maths student are eligible for B.Com. But every college has its own eligibility criteria and so there might be few colleges which might need Mathematics to study B.Com while others do not need Mathematics. It depends on the College that you select and its eligibility criteria. Under Commerce stream, Patna college offers BA Economics Hons course.

Talking about Mathematics being necessary, it depends on the College you want to take admission in. Most Colleges do not require you to have Mathematics as a subject in your 12th for studying B.Com.
