I have not attended for srmjee counselling can I join in srm university
Admission in SRM University actually depends on your SRMJEE rank and that year result. The donations fees may also vary with demand and supply for each year.
For Computer & ECE it will be slightly higher than other branches.
Anyone can't actually predict its exact amount as it totally depends on the people & demand for a seat. The general rule is, better your rank is, lesser you will pay as donation. Your fees varies in general from 2.5 to 3.50 lacs yearly depend on branch that you want. Remember that your hostel fees will be extra than this.
The merit seats for CSE get filled by around 5k rank and that of IT by around 8k. The seats other than merit list consists of 2 categories. Category 1 consists of merit list. In the year 2018, there were around 25% seats based on merit list.
After the merit list, comes category 2, where your annual fees increases by around 1 lac. As far as I know, previous year, the counselling was closed at 15,000 rank as even the management seats had got over. So its not necessary that you would get a seat in SRM with any rank in SRMJEE. The competition has got pretty high.
This year onward, SRM is giving 100% scholarship to students getting a rank under 05k and 50% scholarship to students getting a rank under 10k. So, you can't say anything about this year as of now.
Hope that helps..
Hello Sumanth, to get any branch in SRM university candidate have to go through both the process , i.e jee exam and counselling. But if you were unable to attend counselling process , then no need to take tension. You can join this university with management quota. But go for it as early as possible , because delay will reduce you chance.
I hope it will help.
Thanks.
