I have obtained 99.4266525 NTA score in Paper 2A. What are the chance of getting in SPA Bhopal or Vijayawada? Further, I could see that last year cut-off ranks for SPA's and NITs for B Arch were very low compared to 2019 or 2018. Any reasons? Appreciate your feedback

Hello,

Considering the percentile that you have score it is estimated that your overall rank will be around 340. You have not mentioned your category. It will be helpful for us if you let us know your category as the cut off vary for each category. For now we assume that you belong to general category. The cut off in 2020 for JoSAA round 6 was as follows for genera-other state category for admission in to B.Arch

  • School of Planning & Architecture, Bhopal: 550
  • School of Planning & Architecture: Vijayawada:  694

Looking at the cut off you have decent chances of getting seat in SPA Bhopal and SPA, Vijayawada. Cut off may increase or decrease every year depending on total number of candidates appeared for the paper 2A, difficulty level of examination, total number of seats available etc. For the same reason you have seen that the cut off was slightly low in the year 2020 compared to 2019.

To find out more colleges in which you have chances of getting seat you can use our JEE Main Architecture college predictor tool

Thanks Sharon for your feedback. Yes you are right, Ridhi is in the General Category. But the rank mentioned by you looks based on the attendance for the Feb attempt. Typically you have anther 70K to 80K writing in May right. That said we might have few people writing both Feb and May tests...
Another question... Does KCET (Karnataka CET) accept just NATA or even JEE Mains paper 2?

Kishore Kumar Vasudeva The rank secured by the candidate in a particular session will be same regardless the number of candidates appear for remaining upcoming session. Let's say the rank considering the percentile score in February session is 1000 and the rank in May session is 2000 then the rank secured in February session will be considered because the best score of all sessions will be considered as final rank. The rank may increase or decrease depending on top score in the session, total number of candidates appeared and other factors.
For admission to B.Arch in Karnataka is done thru KCET counselling. NATA or JEE Main Paper 2 score is accepted for KCET B.Arch counselling.
