A 7 CGPA in B.Tech Mechanical is considered average. While it indicates consistent performance, it may be slightly below what top companies look for in competitive placements, where 8 or higher is often preferred. However, it is not a bad score either and won’t prevent you from pursuing further studies or jobs. Many opportunities, especially in government exams, higher studies like GATE, or private companies, consider other skills, experience, and knowledge along with CGPA. If you build practical skills, gain internships, and do well in interviews, you can still have strong career options.
