Choosing between the MFM (Master of Fashion Management) and MDes (Master of Design) entrance exams can indeed be tricky when they have different marking schemes. Here are some points that might help you decide which exam to focus on:

1. Quantitative Ability :

  • MFM : 10 questions.
  • MDes : 20 questions.

Tip : If you're more comfortable with numbers and quantitative analysis, MDes might be more favorable due to the higher number of questions (although it could also mean more time and effort). MFM, with fewer questions, could allow for a quicker pace if you're well-prepared in quantitative subjects.

2. English :

  • MFM : 50 questions.
  • MDes : 25 questions.

Tip : MFM has a heavier emphasis on English with 50 questions. If you're good with language skills, MFM could be a better choice, but it might also require more time and focus on the English section. MDes might be easier if English is a weaker area, as it has fewer questions.

3. Personal Strengths :

  • For MFM : If you are more inclined towards management, business, and communication aspects with a focus on fashion, MFM would be more suitable.
  • For MDes : If you have a stronger design aptitude and creativity, MDes would be a better choice.

4. Time Management :

  • Since MFM has more questions in English but fewer in Quantitative Ability, you might spend more time on English. MDes requires attention to both Quantitative Ability and English, but in relatively balanced proportions. Consider how well you manage time during exams.

5. Preparation Focus :

  • MFM will require strong English and moderate quantitative skills.
  • MDes will require both strong English and design-related aptitude, in addition to good quantitative ability.

Suggestion:

If you are stronger in English , go for MFM since it allows you to focus more on language skills. However, if you have a good grasp of both Quantitative Ability and English and are inclined towards design , MDes might be more suitable due to the balance in marks distribution.

Ultimately, base your decision on which subject area excites you the most and where you feel more confident.

Hello Greetings

Given that you've applied for both MFM (Master in Financial Management) and MDes (Master in Design) entrance exams, it's essential to understand the exam patterns and marking schemes for both.

MFM Entrance Exam Pattern

1. *Quantitative Ability*: 10 questions

2. *English*: 50 questions

MDes Entrance Exam Pattern

1. *Quantitative Ability*: 20 questions

2. *English*: 25 questions

To prepare effectively, consider the following strategies:

*Common Sections*

1. Focus on building a strong foundation in quantitative ability and English.

2. Prepare for the common sections, ensuring you can manage time effectively.

*Section-Specific Preparation*

1. *Quantitative Ability*: Prepare for 20 questions, as this will cover both exams.

2. *English*: Prepare for 50 questions, as this will help you manage the longer section in the MFM exam.

*Time Management*

1. Practice managing your time effectively, as the exams have different question counts and time allocations.

2. Ensure you allocate sufficient time for each section.

*Mock Tests and Practice*

1. Take mock tests for both exams to familiarize yourself with the exam patterns and time management.

2. Practice with sample questions and previous year's papers to build your confidence and accuracy.

By following these strategies, you'll be well-prepared for both exams, despite the differences in their patterns. Stay focused, and best of luck with your exams!

Have a great day

See, this entirely depends on your ability to clear the entrance examination with a good score, analyse your ability, since M.Des has more questions of Quantitative ability this implies that the difficulty level will be higher.

What you can do is allocate time, practice consistently, focus on core concepts and be very consistent with practice.

All the best
