I have over 8 years of experience and I'm belongs to SC category. My academics were not good as I got 57%, 54% and 51% in my 10th, 12th and graduation(BSC) respectively. What are my chances to get selected in IIM, if i scored above 95% in CAT.

Hey Preet

Selection in Indian Institute of Management (IIM) is not dependent on Academic   profile only, but on:

  • CAT score
  • Interview + WAT Performance
  • Work Experience
  • Gender Diversity
  • Curriculars
  • Academics

One cannot predict selection so accurately but 8 years experience might compensate other factors and you should aim for a much higher percentile, 98-99 for increasing your chances, and perform good in Interview round. Giving best in all rounds and maintaining good profile will definitely increase chances of selection in any IIM.
