Yes you can definetly take admission in any college no matter what board of education you have finished your schooling from. If it is B.Arch you are seeking admission for, then my advice would be to write JEE Main Paper 2. Clearing this entrance test would gain you admission into SPA's and NIT's across India.

Yes it is a globally accepted board so you are eligible to take admission in bachelor courses from colleges. But as you said you want to take admission in architecture should a student you have to precisely tell in which stream you have passed your  class 12th as the  subjects required for bachelor of architecture is physics chemistry and mathematics.
