I have passed 10th and 11 th from Rajasthan with CBSE board and passed 12th from Gujarat with cbse board. please clear i am eligible for 85% seats in gujarat or rajasthan
Each state has its own separate domicile eligibility for NEET.
In the case of Gujarat , please see the details below:
- Candidates must have been born in Gujarat and have cleared class 10 and 12 from the state.
- Candidates born outside Gujarat should have completed class 10 and 12 from the state and should have been living in Gujarat for ten consecutive years.
So if you have studied either one of Class 10 or Class 12 outside Gujarat, then you will not be eligible for Gujarat 85% State Quota seats through NEET.
Again, for you to be eligible for Rajasthan domicile, there are criteria that need to be fulfilled:
- Candidate should have completed 10 and 12 from the state. For candidates, who has studied outside the state, either of the parents' should have lived in the state for a minimum if 10 years also the candidate must have studied in the state for atleast 5 years.
So if you are unable to fulfill these criteria, you can't claim Rajasthan's domicile.
So as per the existing rules, you will only be eligible for the Government Medical Colleges in both Gujarat and Rajasthan states through the 15% All India Quota seats and not for the 85% State Quota seats.
