Hi
You don't need to worry at all even if your doing Polytechnic you are still eligible for JEE Mains examination as :
you have already passed your class 12th and one more thing is NIOS is a recognised open board so you don't need to worry even about that as recognised open boards students are eligible for JEE Mains
Also,
You don't need to worry even about your percentage in class 12th, even with 55% you are eligible for JEE Mains examination
This is because
There's no percentage barrier to be eligible for JEE mains
As
Eligibility criteria says that to be eligible for JEE mains 2021 for BE or Btech you should be either appearing for 12th board exam or equivalent in 2021 or should have passed it in 2020 or 2019 with Physics, mathematics and anyone of Chemistry or Biology or Biotechnology or Technical Vocational Subject
There is a small change in JEE Mains examination pattern , in your jee mains 2021 there will be 30 questions in each subject ,20 questions will be MCQs and rest 10 questions will be questions with numerical value as the answer , out of which only 5 questions are to be attempted.
To prepare well you can go for our jee program at the convenience of your home, the link for the same is provided below
