With 87 percentile, you will not be able to land in NIT .
So I will suggest you to go for SRM .
It will be good for you and SRM .
SRM is also good ,It was ranked 28 among engineering colleges in India by Outlook India in 2018. The National Institutional ranking framework (NIRF)ranked it 36 in the engineering ranking 2019.
