I have passed 12th from Maharashtra board but my NEET 50% criteria (of PCB) was not fulfilled so I have taken admission in NIOS on demand exam in physics, chemistry and biology is that valid to have 2 marksheets. in both marksheets I am pass and both contain pcb
Yes, you can still appear for NEET even though you didn’t meet the 50% criteria in PCB in your Maharashtra Board exams. By enrolling in NIOS and taking the On-Demand Examination for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, you can fulfill the NEET eligibility requirements.
Once you pass these exams, the marksheets will be valid, and you can use them to meet the NEET criteria. Afterward, you can apply for NEET using both your Maharashtra Board marksheet and the NIOS marksheets for the subjects you took.
Just make sure you register with NIOS, study for the exams, and once you pass, use those marksheets to apply for NEET. This will allow you to pursue your medical career without any issues.
Hello,
It is perfectly acceptable to have two marksheets—one from the Maharashtra Board and another from the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS)—as long as both are issued by recognized educational boards. Many students choose NIOS on-demand exams to enhance their scores or meet specific eligibility requirements, such as the 50% minimum in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) needed for NEET eligibility in the General category (or 40% for reserved categories). Since NIOS is a government-recognized board, its marksheets are legally valid for academic and competitive examinations.
For NEET, the eligibility criteria emphasize achieving the required percentage in PCB, regardless of which recognized board issued the marks. If your NIOS marksheet meets the PCB 50% requirement, it will be accepted for NEET applications, even if your Maharashtra Board marksheet falls short. Both marksheets are considered academic records, but the one that meets the NEET eligibility criteria will take precedence.
Having two marksheets is not uncommon, as students frequently utilize supplementary boards like NIOS to improve their academic performance or fill eligibility gaps. However, when applying for NEET or other academic opportunities, make sure to submit the marksheet that meets the necessary criteria. Be ready to clarify this during the document verification process, as officials may seek further explanation regarding your academic background.
