Dear Gaurav, There are 5 criteria on which JEE Advanced eligibility is based:
- Performance in JEE Mains: You must qualify in JEE Mains and secure a rank in the top 2,24,000.
- Age limit: For JEE Advanced, you should not have been born after October 1st, 1994 and a relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/PWD.
- No. of attempts: You get only maximum 2 attempts in consecutive years to appear for JEE Advanced
- Class 12: You should have appeared in Class 12 in 2018 or 2019 for the first time
- Earlier admission at IITs: You should not have accepted or joined any IIT before this.
So if you haven't qualified in JEE Mains, unfortunately, though you fulfill the other criteria, you cannot attempt JEE Advanced.
