There are no rules against the appearance of private candidates in the CLAT examination. You must be a 10+2 passed candidate with a 45% aggregate to be eligible to appear for the exam.

Yes of course you are eligible to apply for CLAT 2022 as per the latest eligibility criteria because to appear for CLAT on needs to have passed class 12th or equivalent exam from any recognized board even if you are private. And also note that you must have passed class 12th with minimum aggregate of 45% if you belongs to General category, 40% if you belongs to other reserved categories.
