i have passed hs under WBCHSC with this following subjects combination - chemistry, biology, nutrition and geography . now I'm thinking to bsc Hons in microbiology ... please anyone can assure me is it right choice ? and job opportunities in future ?
Microbiology is one of the trending topics in the basic sciences and if you choose to pursue your career in the field then its undoubtedly a good choice. In India as well as abroad Microbiologist have needs to work in different Pharmaceutical companies, virological studies, Public health studies etc. But to establish in the field a Bsc will not be enough. You should get a Masters after your BSc in order to have better career choice. A PhD in the subject can lead you to more better positions but I would say having a MSc is must or else it will be hard for you to get jobs in the subject area.
