i have registered for neet 2022 but i dont think i can clear neet this year so i keep having panic attacks. is it okay if i skip/ dont show up on the exam day? will it effect my future?
Hi
Hope you are doing well.
I know how serious panic attacks can be. I have someone in my close acquaintance who goes through panic attacks, so can understand your condition.
Your physical & mental well being is the most important over anything be it neet examination or anything else.
So, if you haven't prepared well and you think you won't be able to clear it, and you get panic attacks and you don't want to appear in neet 2022, then it's completely fine.
You can choose not to appear in neet 2022 and don't worry it won't affect your future in any way it doesn't matter at all even if you have filled the application form
You can apply and appear in neet next year and even afterwards without any problem.
This is because,
There's no age limit/ attempt limit for neet .
For your reference,
Here's the eligibility criteria for NEET :-
-------------------) Qualification required :-As per Neet eligibility to be eligible one must be either appearing for 12th board examination or should have passed 12th board examination from any recognised board with physics, chemistry ,biology/biotechnology and English as core subject.
†††Important Note :- Students with Biology as an additional subject are also provisionally eligible for neet until Supreme Court gives its judgement over it.
-------------------) Percentage required :- You must get
-
at least 50 % in aggregate of PCB i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology in 12th examination if belongs to general category
-
at least 40% in aggregate of PCB if belongs to st/Obc/ Sc
-
at least 45 % in aggregate of PCB in case of pwd candidates to be eligible.
-------------------) Age limit :-
-
Lower age limit:- to be eligible for neet one has to be at least 17 years old or more by 31st December in the year of appearing for the examination .
-
Upper age limit :-There's no upper age limit for NEET. Earlier there was upper age limit of 25 years which was pending in supreme court, on 9th march 2022 NMC in its notice has removed upper age limit. Hello,
It just an exam , don't push yourself too much that cause your panic attack ,it will not going to help you anyway .if you are not confident for this year not need to worry say yourself that you are going to give your best this year and check your preparation .
Don't feel pressure if you mark not as per your aspects ,neet is difficult exam to crack because of alot of competition .
Don't decide to skip exam you need time to think with cool mind if you will leave exam that will create more stress and pressure on you whole year .
So best way to deal with this is if you are really not thinking that this your best preparation then tell yourself prior that in this exam i will check my preparation ,this is for my analysis and step for finding weak for best preparation .
All the best!!
