With this rank, your chances of getting a seat in NIT, IIITs is extremely low. Even to get into lower NITs you should have got at least around 45000 - 50,000 rank i. e 95.5 - 96 percentile

Even to get into lower NITs, for cse your rank should have been at least around 28k - 29k i. e at least 97.5 percentile

Dear candidate, sorry to say but at 88 percentile you can’t get NIT if you are from General category. You should check for some State Engineering Colleges or private colleges. You can predict your college using this link:
