Last year, NTSE cutoff stage 1 was 138 for Gujarat state. But this year it will vary due to changes in the exam pattern. This year, the exam was of 200 marks in total instead of 150 marks, compared to last year. The cutoff also depends on some other factors like as: total number of candidates appeared in the exam, highest and lowest marks obtained in the exam. So its difficult to say about it. But, Scoring 174 marks in NTSE stage 1 Gujarat is pretty good.

The cut off for qualifying for stage 1 of NTSE from Gujarat was a score of 138 out of 150 in the previous year. This year the total marks are also 200 instead of 150. Hence the cut off will vary depending on various factors like the level of competition, difficulty, maximum marks etc. You can expect the cut off to be in a similar range out of 200 though. Hence you seem to have fewer chancea of qualifying. Rest would depend on the factors.
