It is unlikely to secure a government MBBS seat under the West Bengal state quota with a score of 290 in NEET 2024.
West Bengal has high competition for government MBBS seats. The cut-off scores for the state quota, particularly for unreserved and reserved categories, are generally much higher than 290.
While the official cut-offs haven't been released yet (as of July 9, 2024), estimations suggest cut-offs for the SC category in West Bengal to be around 136-107.
Participate in the West Bengal state counselling process. You might get a seat in a private medical college within the state quota, depending on the competition and seat availability.
Apply for the All India Quota (AIQ) counselling. The competition might be tougher, but there's a chance of securing a seat in a government medical college outside West Bengal.
Consider private medical colleges across India. While the fees might be higher, you can still pursue your MBBS dream.

I hope it helps!
Hey there,
You just scored 290 marks in NEET 2024 which is definitely not a good score as per the cutoff of NEET 2024. You have not mentioned your category so it is also difficult to predict the college.
With this marks it is very difficult to get any government MBBS college even under state quota in West Bengal.
I will suggest you to prepare again for 2025 NEET exam with full efforts and score good marks and get admission into a good MBBS college.
hope this answer will help you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to help you.
