Dear aspirant
This is more of your personal decision rather than asking any other people.
It should totally based on your personal choice and which stream you like the more. There are many pro's and cons of both the stream.
If you really aspire to become a doctor then you can drop and take your chances there is no harm in that. On other hand taking a drop will not guaranteed you a seat in medical college, you will have to work really hard to get a seat in good private medical colleges. Also by taking drop there is always risk associated with it that you will get selected or not. If you are confident that you will crack neet after taking drop then you must go for it. As of now if you are doctor than you will be treated much respect than Engineer unless you are IITian.
Now if we talk about engineering, if you are getting a very good college of engineering with your favourable branch which have good placements records then you can go for it. Here in this case you will not waste a year of life and you may get settled in your career at the right time. Also engineering is 4year course after which if you get placed you start earning on other hand MBBS is 5.5 yrs long course and if you take drop it will increase more so if you choose to drop then you may get settled late in life.
Although MBBS is long course but rewards are much more better than the engineering course.
So better check all the aspects of the engineering colleges you are getting and then make decisions according to that.
At your expected marks you will not get govt mbbs college or govt seats in private medical colleges. But there are chances that you may get some private medical colleges in Karnataka if you try.
Otherwise you have chance of getting deemed medical college at your expected marks also if you prefer that.
You can use NEET UG college predictor tool for knowing chances of getting MBBS BDS ayush colleges at your expected marks.
