Hiiii Supriya,

If you belong to general category then you are not eligible to apply for NEET as a minimum of 50% marks in class 12 qualifying exam (PCB)  is mandatory for filling NEET application form.

But if you belong to ST/SC category then you are eligible to apply as minimum percentage in qualifying exam for these categories is 40%.

All the best for future!!

Hi Supriya,

According to the norms of NTA, the eligibility criteria for neet exam is:

  • Qualifying Marks : UR - 50%, OBC/SC/ST - 40%, PWD - 45% (minimum aggregate marks only for PCB subjects)

So accordingly, if you do not fall under any reserved category, then you are not eligible for the exam. For more information about the eligibility criteria and other things, visit the link provided:

Feel free to ask any queries here.

Good luck!

dear aspirant,

UR - 50% ,OBC/SC/ST - 40%  PWD - 45% (minimum aggregate marks only for PCB subjects) . So if you belong to the latter category you are rightly eligible to appear for neet exam.

all the best for your future.
