Yes, Shravani, your CAT score is not good enough to take admission at any college. All you can do next is prepare for CAT 2020 and score above 70 atleast to get shortlisted in some of the average B-School.

All you need to do is PRACTICE well, for CAT 2020 or other entrance tests for admissions in MBA and get shortlisted ata good B-School.

I am sorry to tell this because you would have got such a low percentile in CAT as you would have got your score in negative.

It is true that even if you do not even attempt any questions in CAT then your percentile would somewhere around 40 , with a zero score! This is because it is based on how other candidates have performed that is it is based on the percentile given to the candidates,

So do not go low because of your low score in CAT. Try giving your exams again with full effort and preparations so that you can have a very good score. It is nothing difficult if you are into your work and  solve the questions regularly.

It is better to go the training institutes so that you will understand the tricks of solving the questions, you will also be taught how fast you can solve a question and the most important thing is how to understand a  question and approach for answering.

Accuracy is very much needed in CAT than attempting more questions and it is better to choose the easier questions and the questions you are sure with your answers. Solve the previous year papers and the  mock papers which will give you a clear picture where do you stand based on the percentile you have scored. Based on the percentile you can work accordingly.
