Hey there!
CLAT 2019 paper has been among the easiest in the history of this exam and hence, the cutoffs are very much expected to be on the higher side. Don't be disheartened, but with a score of 83, there is certainly no chance of getting any NLU unless you have a reservation category or domicile.
Either you can opt to appear for CLAT again or else you can join a private university, some of which like Christ University and M S Ramaiah College of law are totally worth the time and money and in fact, better than some of the lower ranked NLUs.
At the end its your call.So decide what is best for you.
All the best. Hope it helps.
Hello,
Careers360 has its own CLAT rank predictor which uses previous year data and trends to predict rank. With 83 marks your rank might be around 6,000 to 7,200. With rank in this range your chances are very low to get into any of the NLUs. But it is possible that the actual rank deviate from the predicted one. So refering to https://law.careers360.com/articles/clat-cutoff will be helpful.
With the score you're mentioning you'll get a rank somewhere between 5900-7200. If you fall in general category then I'm afraid you have less chances of getting an NLU or colleges like Amity law school and VIPS. But you can definitely look out for other good colleges like
- Ideal Institute of Management and Technology
- JIMS Engineering Management Technical campus, school of Law
- Chander Prabhu Jain college of higher studies
- ICFAI Law school Hyderabad
- MS Ramaiah college of law
But if you belong to reserved category then you definitely have a chance in NLUs except NLSIU Bangalore and NALSAR Hyderabad.
Hi
It seems low marks but if you belong to reserved category then you have a chance to get into NLU.
Thank you
