Admission in to Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in Bachelor of Science is based on merit in JEE Main/JEE Advanced/NEET UG/KVPY. For admission through JEE Main the All India Rank secured by the candidate is considered. In the year 2020 the JEE Main All India cut off rank for OBC-NCL was 7501-12000. So candidates whose AIR is below 12,000 are eligible to get admission. Considering the expected percentile in JEE Main you may expect your AIR to be over 1,00,000 with such rank it is difficult to get seat in IISc, Bangalore. You need to score above 98 percentile to have high chances of getting seat. Cut off changes every year depending on the number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and number of seats available etc. Based on the previous year qualifying cut off percentile you may not qualify in JEE Main with 71 percentile. The cut off percentile in 2020 for OBC-NCL was 72.8887969. In 2021 it is expected to be in between 70-75 percentile.
