Congrats Dev for such a high percentile of 99.5 in MAH-CET exam!!

Dev with your such a high percentile you have a high probability of getting admission in top b-schools like:

  • Sydenham Institute of Management Studies, Research and Entrepreneurship Education (SIMSREE), Mumbai (MMS + PGDM)
  • K J Somaiya Institute of Management Studies & Research (KJSIMSR), Mumbai
  • Prin. L. N. Welingkar Institute of Management Development & Research, Mumbai
  • N.L Dalmia Institute of Management Studies and Research, Mumbai
  • S.I.E.S. College of Management Studies, Mumbai
  • Department of Management Sciences (PUMBA), University of Pune
  • Bombay St. Xavier College Soc.'s Xavier Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai
  • MET's Institute of Management, Mumbai
  • Chetana's Ramprasad Khandelwal Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai
  • Indian Education Society's Management College & Research Centre, MumbaiLala Lajpatrai Institute of Management, Mumbai
  • Lala Lajpatrai Institute of Management, Mumbai

Feel free to ask if you have any more queries. All the best!!

I am in dilemma these days, just thinking of the cutoffs. My friends Say that Very high percentile is needed for getting admission in top colleges in Maharashtra as I am not from Maharashtra. I fall under All India seats Right? So will it be possible to get admission even in PUMBA?As I am of OMS category

Dev if you fall in OMS category then it will be really difficult for you to even get in PUMBA becoz according to last year cut off for OMS category all top b-school cut offs were above 99.8 percentile.

You still have a 100% chance of getting in MET, IES Mumbai, Chetna etc. but probability in other b-school is pretty less.

For OMS category last year cut-off for NL Dalmia was 99.83 percentile so Dev it will be really difficult for you to bet it with 99.5 percentile.

Now I am mentioning the top 5 colleges with their fees and their average package where you have a chance to get admission (List is in order for best ROI):Chetna - 3.6 - 5.3MET - 1.99 - 4.5IES - 7.2 - 6Lala Lajpat - 3.35 - 4Thakur - 4/8.5 - 4.5

You can also get K. J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research. It is also one of the top b-school but its cut-off is less as students leave it because of its high fees i.e. Rs. 11.99 lakhs but it has 100% placement and average package offered is Rs. 9.19 last year which is very high then many of the colleges I mentioned above. If you can pay the fees or take it through loan then I will highly recommend you to go for it because the fee is only one time investment and if you initially start your job after MBA then your growth rate will be very high, you can cover up your fees in 2-3 years and then lifetime you will grow 10 times faster than the one starting initial job with less package.

In CAP round 1 you can lock the college list I have given above; you can go with IES or Chetna. Both of them are good.
