With board ranks you don't get nits , you have to score above cutoffs in jeemains to qualify. Also you need to satisfy the minimum cut off criteria that is get 75% percent in your respective board or be in top 20 percentile of your board.

So, if you are from Cbse board then there is no chance of yours getting any nit.

Your board percentage does not matter that much . If you are above 70 % then you can get nit easily. But for getting NIT you need to score good marks in JEE main. It will decide your rank whether you are getting NIT or not.

Try to score about 150+marks out of 360 you will be having fair chances of getting a NIT.

I regret to inform you that with a short of 3 percent you cannot apply for any prestigious college of engineering like nits iiits or GFTIs and not even into any iits and bits as I m considering you as a general or obc candidate.

But if you are from sc or st candidate then you can definitely get admission into any of these colleges.

The admissions in NIT are from the score in JEE mains. The role of the marks in boards is only qualifying. If you are asking about that, yes you can take admissions but only if you have qualified JEE mains with a good rank needed for admission to the NIT you want with a branch you like.
