I have secured 84.97 percentile in JEE main.Am I eligible to get a seat for chemical engg in NIT calicut? Or any other NITs in Southern ind

Can u suggest a good engg field which has scope in future

Yes, You belong from OBC Category and that will be really helpful for you. First you are confused in your Enegineering field. All fields of engineering are good and have good scope but your interest should also be there. For that you should first find in which field you are interested in that if you are interested in learning computer then you can choose Computer Science and at this rank in OBC you can get good colleges for Computer Science. Although Computer Science has maximum scope but all others have scope too. First try to find out your interest so that you can give your best in that. You asked for Chemical Engineering even that has scope but not as equal to Computer Science as Computer is required in each and every field nowadays. If you have interest in electrical then choose electrical branch and look for colleges that provide good electrical engineering. If you have interest in Mechanical Engineering then you can see colleges there too. Don't be forcefully and don't go behind friends just like a sheep speaking Me Me and that.
