If you are gonna go for work then it will add up more points to your profile and will also fetch you extra marks in your aggregate score. Also as you will be working in corporate world so you will be get a rich experience about the practicalities which will further help you during MBA because studying during MBA is more about real problem solving and implementation then theory.
Being a fresher from commerce background will also fetch you more marks in your aggregate score for being a non engineer. This is done in order to increase diversity in the college. Also generally non engineers get a call for interview round, relatively at a less CAT percentile then engineers.
So in short it's good in both ways you can have a quality work experience of 1-2 years and then pursue MBA degree or else you can do it right now also. From my personal opinion I will recommend you to pursue MBA degree from a reputated college after your graduation only.
All the best!!
