Hey,

In order to take admission in ba English hons one has necessarily include english as one of their subject for calculating best four percentage. The applicant must have studied and passed English in the qualifying exam and should include English for calculation of ‘Best Four’ percentage. The merit shall be determined on the basis of one language and three best academic/elective subjects. Also, an aggregate of 45% marks in the qualifying examination.

The advantage of two percentage is given on pursuing foreign language courses and not on English hons. The two percentage advantage is given on your best four if you  have studied that language as an elective subject  till your 12th.

Hope this is clear!
