i have studied upto 10th standard in AP and did intermediate and graduation in karnataka ,( my permanent address is in AP) but can i write APPSC as a local candidate
Hello there,
No, you cannot apply as a local candidate for APPSC. To be considered a local candidate in Andhra Pradesh, you must have studied for at least four consecutive years before Class 10 or have resided there for at least seven years. Since you completed your intermediate and graduation in Karnataka, you may be considered a non-local candidate for APPSC. However, you can still apply under the open category.
I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.
Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.
Hello,
The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) designates candidates as 'local' or 'non-local' based on specific criteria outlined in the Andhra Pradesh Public Employment (Organization of Local Cadres and Regulation of Direct Recruitment) Order, 1975, commonly known as the Presidential Order. This classification primarily depends on factors such as the duration and location of your study and residence within Andhra Pradesh.
Recommendation:
Given the nuances of the local candidature criteria and your unique educational background, it's advisable to consult directly with the APPSC or refer to the official notifications for detailed guidelines. This will help ensure that you have accurate and comprehensive information regarding your eligibility as a local candidate.
