i have taken Admission in a government medical college in punjab in mbbs course but i want to leave my college and take admission in aiims next year by preparing for neet again. there is no bond signed.. can i leave my college?

Hi aspirant,

Basically after the admission procedure is completed, you are officially a student of the college.

Generally when a student leaves the college, he/she must pay the bod and then leave because-

  • You have already filled the seat. This means you are a student now.


  • You have already taken the seat and If you leave it now, no one else can be replaced and admitted in your place.


  • So, certainly  you will be needed to pay the bond.


  • Government colleges are very hard for a student to get, and generally bond is taken as a penalty to leave the government seat as some other eligible candidate might have got your seat.


  • Ultimately the seat is wasted and vacant for the next 5.5 years.
