With reference to your above mentioned query, I would like to tell you that Yes, it is obviously possible for you to give your JEE examination and to drop out your present first year college and get an NIT or an IIT to study Btech in Computer Science and Engineering.
The eligibility criteria for giving jee mains examination are :
Qualifying exam -
Students should have passed the 12th class or qualifying the exam in 2020 or 2021.
Candidates appearing in 12th class or equivalent qualifying exams in 2022 can also apply.
B.Tech/B.Arch Admissions OPEN
Age Limit - No age limit to appear for JEE Main 2022 exam. Any student who has passed the 12th class or its equivalent exam in the year 2020, 2021, or appearing in 2022 can apply for the entrance exam.
Total number of attempts - Students can appear in the JEE Main exam for three consecutive years. The entrance test will be conducted four times a year. Subjects -
B.E/B.Tech: He/She should have passed the qualifying exam with Physics, Mathematics, and any one of (Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational Subject).
B.Arch: He/She should have passed the qualifying exam with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
B.Plan: He/She should have passed the qualifying exam with Mathematics.
So, you can definitely give your jee exams even when you are in your first year of any other college and you are very much eligible for the same.
