i have taken commerce with maths what are the best carrier options for me???

Hello Kartik,

Good to know that as a commerce student you are interested in maths. Other than the options of pursuing bachelors in other fields, you have a wonderful option to pursue professional courses in commerce that actually involve playing with numbers. Also you will be happy to know that almost all competitive exams include maths exam in the form of quantitative aptitude and mathematical reasoning.

Professional courses include:
1. CHARTERED ACCOUNTANCY- involves expertise in company accountancy and taxation.
2. COMPANY SECRETARYSHIP- involves expertise in corporate laws but also includes accountancy
and taxation as side areas of expertise.
3. COST ACCOUNTANT - involves expertise in cost and management accounting but taxation and
company accounts is also required to be studied while pursuing the course.

The above three professionals deal with main area of auditing in the corporates, be it secretarial audit, cost audit, internal audit.

4. You may appear for BANKING exams for clerical or probationary officer post as these exams are a
better option for commerce graduates.

5. MBA entrance exams such as CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, SNAP is also a better option for you as maths is
considered as an important subect for such papers.

6. Income tax exams for the post of Income tax Inspector or Income tax Officer after graduation.

7. Professional as a Budget Analyst  after pursuing masters in accounting. Developing budgets involve
very strong analytical, numerical and accounting skills.

8. If interested in civil services, you can prepare for IAS/IES exams.

9. Go for LL.B. only if interested in law. Though the CLAT entrace exam requires general knowledge ,
english ad maths but legal interest is a priority.

10. Actuarial Sciences- A course very difficult but having a high scope across the world. Students with
extremely strong hold in maths can pursue this. This professional deals with the measurement and
management of risks and uncertainities in business.

11. Bachelors in Commerce or Economics is a wonderful option if you can make it to a good college
after 12th.

12. Other than job sector, it will be amazing if after completing your education you start up your own
business in your field of expertise as commerce students can contribute much to the society by         optimum use of management knowledge.

There are plenty of courses to opt for. One need to choose a career option that provides good scope in future and at the same time develops an intrest to pursue it among students.

Here is the list of best career options after 12th commerce with maths:


1) B.Com : It is a general degree course that continues for a period of 3 years. The level of difficulty under these courses in not very high, students can easily get admission under this course from any college.


2) Bachelor of Economics : Under this course, students get exposure to numerous economics concepts, analytical methods and studies. All those students having intrest in economics may take the course .


3) BBA : The course last for 3 years where students gain knowledge about bussiness and its administration. Students are exposed to numerous bussiness aspects and methodologies.


4) LLB : The course is governed by the bar council of India. Students after the completion of course avail the degree as a lawyer or advocate.


5) CA : This is a professional level course which is administered by a professional body, The institute of Charartered Accountant of India. The level of difficulty under this course is much higher as compared to other bachelor courses.


6)Hotel Management : This course may vary for a lime frame of 3 to 5 years after which it fetches good return in hotel industry. This course is good for all those students who have intrest in the hospitality sector.


There are any other courses you can choose but the main thing is your intrest. So always follow your passion.

If you have commerce with maths you can do bcom hons . After which you can do specialisation in accountancy , eco ..

You can also go for MBA and PHD ahead

Also you can prepare for IAS , Chartered Accountancy , Company Secretary

You can also go for teaching as career option ...
