I have taken EnTC branch in Btech. what kind of scope it has and what kind of opportunities I can get by this branch? or should I change my branch after first year?
EnTC branch have a very good scope in its core as well as non-core fields. If you go for the course of EnTC and still want to go for the software sector then also you will get very good scope to explore because the coursework gives you enough exposure to the coding and programming skills. Now if you want to be in the core field then you can expect the job profiles such as:
- Electronics & Telecommunication Engineer
- Telecom Engineer
- Communications Engineer
- Electronic Communications Technician
- Telecommunications Network Engineer
The top recruiters in the field are:
-
BSNL – Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited
-
MTNL – Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited
-
DRDO – Defense Research and Development Organization
-
NPL – National Physical Laboratory
-
BEL – Bharat Electronics Limited
-

Now if you are interested in the subject then the subject have quite a good scope in it in terms of jobs and research. Now if you don't feel any interest in the subject then you can obviously change your coursework to something else without any doubt. But scopewise there are no reason to change the field.
