Firstly, I am listing few things to be kept in mind while choosing a medical college-
Location- you are going to spend your 5 most precious years in that area, so choose the one which suits you and your family.
Academics- well, academis in most colleges is almost same and you have to study on your own but the colleges you have listed above have the best faculties.
Infrastructure and technological advancements- choose a clg that can provide you with good technological advancements in medical sector
Hospital- choose a clg whose hospital caters to a large number of patients. This will give you a good clinical exposure in internship and will play a major role in becoming a clinician.
Internal pg quota- MBBS is not very easy but making it to a good pg seat is all that matters!
Future opportunities- getting into a college with good alumni network will increased your chances of getting more opportunities.
Cultural barriers- prefer not to get admission into a clg with language barriers as it is an important thing in your internship years.
Secondly, I am writing few facts about each clg mentioned above other than the regular info about acads, teachers etc
VMMC- you will get delhi quota for pg. Safdarjung hospital has the largest opd so you will get excellent clinical exposure, helpful seniors, good alumni connections, good pg:ug seat ratio(sort of internal pg quota), campus is not very big but college life is amazing. No service bond after MBBS.
KGMU- caters large number of patients so good clinical exposure. It has a golden era of its own with great alumni. 2 Years of rural service bond.
AIIMS Bhopal>AIIMS Rishikesh>BHU- while you will get aiims tag in the first two, three of them are central universities with internal pg quota. I have ranked them according to my priority. U will also get good amount of research opportunities.
AFMC- Excellent clg but with a very disciplined life. Choose only if u want it, but it will be a good experience on its own. You will get chance to serve in the army but make sure you go through the bond for MBBS students there. Heavy amount is forfeited if the bond is not completed.
I would suggest you to measure every aspect of each college that you have mentioned as you have ample time before counselling. If you have friends in these colleges, then ask them their experience. Each college has something special to offer. For say, here in Delhi, MAMC has the best academics but VMMC has better clinical exposure and technological advancements. So, you have to choose the one according to your needs.
At last, MBBS life is a roller coaster ride and I don't think you will regret your decision after entrance.
All the best!!!
