Hello,
Hope you are doing good!
The National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET), formerly the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT), is the qualifying test for MBBS and BDS Programmes in Indian medical and dental colleges. The examination, which offers 90,000 seats in MBBS and BDS Colleges of India, is conducted in the month of May every year. One thing that remains a constant is students taking up NEET if they wish to pursue medicine in the country.
The prime eligibility criteria to take up NEET is majoring in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects in class 12 to appear for NEET. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) or NEET, formerly the All India Pre-Medical Test, is an all India pre-medical entrance test for students. Candidates must have completed 17 years of age either at the time of admission or else on or before December 31, 2022, as per the NEET 2022 eligibility criteria. The decision over the upper age limit for NEET exam eligibility has been challenged in the Supreme Court.
NEET is the gateway for getting admission into other medical programs as well including Dental and AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homoeopathy) Programs. An exam that seeks to ensure that those aspiring to become doctors and dentists in India are of a certain minimum academic standard cannot be faulted.
