I have to go in civil services after engineering so which branch should I take in engineering?

Hello!!
if you are interested in civil services,you can choose any branch of your interest but it would be better if you choose any core branch,core branch includes mechanical engineering ,civil engineering ,electrical engineering.if you choose these branches trust me you can manage to have some extra time for studies required for exams like upsc but if you choose computer science and engineering or information technology you will have to focus more on your programming skills and also these students don't get benefit from their regular syllabus of engineering whereas students who pursue with core branches gets benefit from their regular subjects.

Hello,
You can opt for any branch of your choice in which you are interested in.Because it has nothing to do with Civil Service entrance exam.To be eligible to appear for UPSC CSE you need to complete your graduation in any discipline from a recognised board or university.So for now choose a branch in which you are interested.
