This is common and a majority of students take a year gap for jee mains so don't worry that it will affect your IIMs interview. It is normal about that so if you are being asked this question in IIMs interviews, there could be two possible scenarios :
- Interviewer is going to test your stress level in the interview.
- Interviewer want to know about what you learn in that gap year.Don’t get afraid about that,be stable with your mind and explain to him about the present system of examination and your achievements what you achieve in past.
