It is compulsory to write and pass NATA to joinB.Archanywhere in the country. But there are exceptions also. You can join the Schools of Planning andArchitectureunder MHRD by writing JEE(Mains) paper 2. ... You can joinb.archwithoutNATAonly if you are getting into someIITorNITthrough JEE.

Out of the total 31 National Institutes of Technology (NITs) in the country, only 9 offer admission in B.Arch course and there are 559 B.Arch Seats in these NITs. There are 5 CFTIs/ STFIs which also offer B. Arch/ B.Planning course and there are 331 seats. These institutes offer admission on the basis of Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB). CSAB conducts a common counselling process for engineering/architecture admission
