If your caste certificate is valid then you can upload it while filling the application form for CAT, otherwise you might face some difficulty. So, check its validity and go through the guidelines mentioned in the information brochure/official website to apply for CAT.

The official website does not mention the expiry date of the OBC certificate; however, if you want can contact the administrative officials for confirmation. As of now, I would like to state that CAT 2018 application form is provided with an OBC certificate template; you need to fill the same and upload. The parameters are as the following-

• The certificate should have been issued by a competent authority.

• The name of the caste and caste number should appear in the certificate.

• District and the State or Union Territory of your ordinary residence.

• The Ministry's resolution/order number should be available.

• The certificate should either be in Hindi or English only.
