Hi, I'm sorry to inform that it's quite unlikely for you to get admission in DU with 60% marks(if it's your best of four score). Being from a science stream it's a little difficult to get admission in a different stream as your best 4 subjects should include one subject in which you wish to major and according to the rules, 5% marks are deducted from best of four percentage of the candidate who applies for a different stream than what he/she pursued in 12th. Plus the cutoffs for BA courses are quite high. Rarely candidates with 65%-75% marks get admission in DU. If you still want to make sure about the possibilities you can use DU 2019 colege predictor at careers360 website.

I would suggest you to look for colleges other than DU if you want to pursue your graduatio in arts stream.

Good luck

Hey Laxmipriya!

You have a charming name!

With the competition being so tough nowadays, students scoring below 80% are finding it difficult to get admission into most good colleges. Lakhs of students apply for the coveted Delhi University but minority makes to the actual cut. Even from reservation students need atleast 70% for admission there.

However, you can get admission into Delhi University correspondence course which is equally good in terms of guidance and content. You may have classes on weekends and you can clear your doubts with the faculty.

If you are not interested in correspondence, you can still secure a seat in a college in your city and do great things in life. Because in the end its all about how you push yourself rather than any institution or organisation which only shows you a path.

Good luck.

Hi aspirant

Before moving to cut off there are certain eligibility critera for admission at DU.If you are eligible then only you can go further.

Different course have different eligibility .You can check the detailed criteria here: https://university.careers360.com/articles/du-eligibility-criteria

As you are PCB students ,if you haven't any BA paper in your 12th you won't be eligible .

Check the cut off DU colleges here: http://www.du.ac.in/du/uploads/Admissions/Cut-off/2018/6th%20Cut-Off%20-%20Arts%20&%20Commerce.pdf

Official website: http://www.du.ac.in/cut-off.html

All the best.

Hello dear aspirant,

Delhi university is one of the most prestigious university of the country and it's cutoff is higher than most of the other government universities.

For getting admission in Delhi university,  you need a minimum of 85%( for general category), that too for the less popular courses. Sorry to mention that your marks,  60%,  isn't enough to get you admission in Delhi university.

You should opt for other universities or colleges.

Hope it works.

All the best.
