I hve overallrank 241 in pgi exam and 173 in general category. Can i expect to get peds at this rank at pgi?

First of all a very hearty congratulations to a well deserved rank in the one of the most prestigious colleges for Postgraduation in the country. That in itself should make you lift your chin up and face the challenges lying further ahead.
As per the counselling data of 2017 Novemeber counselling, MD Paediatrics went upto a All India Rank of 97 . Depending on the number of students applying for the counselling and the category, I can expect the cut off rank to be around 95-110 .
This is only a rough estimate and experts in PGI exams say that if you have a decent score, its beneficial rather than accepting defeat because seats do go unoccupied at times and sometimes they may spring a surprise with a clinical seat or two left at your rank.
So, my belief is please attend the counselling without fail and hope for the best. Keep your aspirations high and you will get in.
