I joined BTech (2017-2021) at JNTUH but was detained in the 2nd year. After being re-admitted, I completed the 4th year but still have 5 backlogs. Now, as a working professional in an MNC, I find it hard to focus on exams. How should I proceed?

Greetings,

Strategies for Clearing Backlogs:

  1. Prioritize and Plan:

    • Identify the most crucial subjects: Determine which backlogs are most likely to impact your career or future goals.
    • Create a study schedule: Allocate specific time slots for studying, considering your work commitments.
    • Break down the syllabus: Divide the subjects into smaller, manageable units.
  2. Efficient Studying:

    • Use effective study techniques: Explore methods like active recall, spaced repetition, and mind mapping.
    • Leverage online resources: Utilize online courses, tutorials, and practice exams.
    • Join study groups: Connect with other students facing similar challenges for support and collaboration.
  3. Seek Support:

    • Talk to your employer: Explain your situation and explore flexible work arrangements, if possible.
    • Consider tutoring: Hire a tutor to provide personalized guidance and support.
    • Reach out to your university: Inquire about any available resources or support services for students clearing backlogs.
  4. Stay Motivated:

    • Set achievable goals: Break down your goal of clearing backlogs into smaller, attainable milestones.
    • Celebrate small wins: Reward yourself for progress made, no matter how small.
    • Stay positive: Believe in your ability to overcome challenges and achieve your goals.

Additional Tips:

  • Time Management: Use time management techniques like the Pomodoro Technique to improve focus and productivity.

  • Mindfulness and Stress Management: Practice relaxation techniques like meditation or deep breathing to reduce stress and improve concentration.

  • Networking: Connect with professionals in your field who have successfully cleared backlogs. Learn from their experiences and seek advice.

Remember, while clearing backlogs may be challenging, it is definitely achievable with dedication and effective planning. By following these strategies and seeking support, you can overcome the obstacles and complete your degree.

I hope this information helps you.
