Various college/university have different admission procedures. Some includes admisisons on the basis of marks scored in an entrance examination and some take direct entry admissions.  It depends upon the college.

If you want to take admission into a medical college then for sure you need to pass NEET examination in order to secure a seat. If you want to get jnto an engineering institute then you need to give JEE mains. If you want to be a law candidate then CLAT EXAMINATION is there.

So this is all sums up in an admission procedures. Since you have not mentioned the college or course name so it is quite difficult to provide you an appropriate solution.
