Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) is a five years undergraduate course which can be started after 10+2 with minimum 50% marks. Most of the college have semester wise system. Average fees for this course in government colleges ranges from INR 1.5 to 2.5 Lacs and in private institutes, it ranges from approx. INR 2.5 to 5 Lacs.
After the successful completion of this course, the students can continue their career in architecture sector with the average salary range between INR 2.5 to 4.5 LPA.
The architectural study includes designing models of building, creating a blueprint of construction and any other physical structure of any land and building. The demand for constructing shopping malls, flyovers in cities and other commercial complexes are on the rise and can be fulfilled by the role of an architect.
Candidates can take admission in this course through NATA entrance test and clear the exam the candidates should have an understanding of subjects. Every college or institute has different criteria for admission and moreover state or region have another impact on admission. The students can get admission in B. Arch. by appearing in NATA entrance exam which is conducted by Council of Architecture every year and qualifying examination from a recognized university or board. There are various colleges which are taking admission of students through this entrance exam.
After this process, students got shortlisted in the merit list of NATA test will be called for counseling process and on the basis of skills and availability of seats, the suitable candidate will get admission.
After completing this course, you can join government organization like PWD, an Archaeological Department, Ministry of Defense, National Building Organization, National Institute of Urban Affairs and Departments of Railways.
