I know hindi and English typing , but don't know short hand , and didn't do steno course, can I fill ssc steno ?

The eligibility criteria for SSC Stenographer is as follows:
AGE LIMIT:
- A candidate must belong to the age group of 18 to 30 years to be eligible to fill the SSC Stenographer Application Form for Grade C and must be between 18 to 27 years for Grade D
EDUCATIONAL CRITERIA:
- A candidate must have passed 10+2 examination from a recognized university or board
- A candidate should have Diploma/certificate in the Stenography, and should be able to qualify the skill test
- Typing speed should be 25 words per minute and shorthand 80 words per minute, for an English stenographer, 30 words per minute and shorthand must be 100 words per minute for Hindi Stenographer
SKILL TEST:
Under Skill test candidates are tested on their ability to take Dictation, Transcription and Typing skills, candidates are required to take dictation for 10 minutes in English / Hindi at the speed of 100 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and 80 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘D’. The matter will have to be transcribed on the computer. The transcription time is as follows:-
For Stenographer Grade ‘D’: 50 minutes (English), 65 minutes (Hindi)
For Stenographer Grade ‘C’: 40 minutes (English) 55 Minutes (Hindi)
So, according to this criteria you cannot apply for SSC Steno because shorthand is an important part of the skill test.
